14bit camera system WinCamD (CMOS/USB2.0) The WinCamD-system is the standard CMOS system for laser beam analysis. It has an compact, high resolution 14-Bit digital camera. The camera features a 1.4 MPixel CMOS-chip with 4.65 x 4.65 µm pixel size and 6.5 x 4.8 mm (1/2") full active area.
A complete system consists of the camera head, a USB2.0 interface, connecting cable (3 m) and software. The camera is powered via the USB port, so there is no need for an additional power supply.
The CMOS version of the WinCamD product family is used mainly to measure small optical structures and spots of cw and pulsed lasers or other optical sources. Due to the high SNR is is also the best choise to measure the spatial distribution of very weak optical signals.
Highlights- 6.5 x 4.8 mm active chip area with 4.65 x 4.65 µm pixel, 1.4 MPixel
- Wavelength range from 355 nm to 1150 nm.
- Pulsed laser auto-trigger and synchronisation; TTL (In/Out)
- Exposure time manual or automatic between 40 µs and 1000 ms
- Variable active area on chip from 16x16 pixels
- Field-replacable CMOS chip
- No external power supply needed
Options The camera is compatible with all C-mount optics/lenses. As standard, the camera comes without the faceplate in front of the chip. To protect the sensor chip and to eliminate ambient light, the cameras are delivered with a
ND filter in a C-mount ring. This low distortion face plate is carefully selected for laser applications and mounted at a certain angle in the mounting ring. To measure lasers of less than 400 nm wavelength, the filter has to be changed to a fused silica based attenuator.
Special
UV- converter optics (1 - 355nm) or an IR-version of the camera (up to -1360 nm or additional 1475 - 1600 nm) extend the application range of the system. As an option there is also an
IR-converter optic for the telecom wavelength range around 1550nm available.
In order to measure larger beams we offer a
TaperCam-version of the WinCamD. The TaperCam features a unique ordered fiberoptic bundle, mounted directly on the chip. This leads to a deformation free reduction of the incoming intensity distribution. The taper is not detachable.
