ModBox - Plug and Play Modulation SolutionsThe ModBox systems are a family of turnkey optical transmitters and external modulation benchtop units for both digital and analog transmission applications. The Modbox design integrates within an enclosure a laser source (optional), a complete modulation stage featuring an external LiNb03 modulator with its RF driver and bias control circuit, and a receiver stage (optional).

12.5Gbps-NRZ: 12.5 Gb/s NRZ 1550 nm Modulation UnitThe ModBox-12.5Gbps-NRZ is a bench-top Modulation Unit dedicated to digital NRZ modulation scheme, and operating in the C-band.
The unit generates a 12.5 Gb/s optical data stream from a user supplied electrical 12.5 Gb/s NRZ data stream, generated for instance by a PRBS generator, The resulting optical data stream features short rise and fall times, low jitter and high Q factor. It is highly stable thanks to the automatic bias control of the internal intensity modulator. The ModBox-12.5-Gbps-NRZ can receive an optional laser source and optical receiver.
12.5Gbps-NRZ-4x1550: 4 Channel 12.5 Gb/s NRZ 1550 nm Modulation UnitThe ModBox-12.5Gbps-NRZ-4x1550 is a 4 channel WDM Modulation Unit dedicated to digital NRZ modulation scheme, and operating in the C-band.
The unit generates 4 x 12.5 Gb/s optical data streams from 4 user supplied electrical 12.5 Gb/s NRZ data streams. The resulting optical data streams feature short rise and fall times, low jitter and high Q factor. They are highly stable thanks to the automatic bias control of the internal intensity modulators.
28Gbps-NRZ-1300: 28 Gb/s NRZ 1310 nm Modulation UnitThe ModBox-28Gbps-NRZ-1300 is a bench-top Modulation Unit dedicated to digital NRZ modulation scheme, and operating in the 1300 nm band.

100Gbps-DQPSK-RX: 100 Gb/s QPSK 1510 nm Receiver unitThe ModBox-100Gbps-DQPSK-RX is a high data rate DQPSK receiver unit.
It integrates an optical demodulator matched with balanced photodiodes and transimpedance amplifiers, clock recovery circuits and demultiplexers and generates 8 x 12.5 Gb/s NRZ fully reshaped and retimed data streams.
Pulse-1550: 1550 nm 40 dB Extinction Ratio Pulse Generationn UnitThe ModBox-Pulse-1550 generates controlled optical pulses from a continuous optical laser source at 1550 nm and a user supplied pulsed RF signal.

SpectralBroadening-1053: 1053 nm Spectral Broadening UnitThe ModBox-SpectralBroadening-1053 achieves the spectral broadening of a 1053 nm narrow optical source by modulating its phase via the mean of a very efficient LiNb03 phase modulator.
It creates a number of lines over a spectral width that can reach more than 100 GHz and is used to counter the Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) caused in optical fibers by high fluxes of highly coherent light.
